Author of "Living in CHITOKARA Tokyo Japan" blog.

About this blog
This is a blog where I share my daily life experiences and small insights in both Japanese and English.
The concept of these posts is
Solving "Troubles" when living in Japan.
The "Troubles" I deal with here are mainly problems in our daily lives.
I post how I have dealt with actual problems and failures in my daily life. The problems and troubles in daily life vary from person to person, so in some cases, my way of dealing with them may be sufficient, but in other cases, it may not be. Even if this blog is not the right answer, I hope it will be a 「hint」 for someone to solve their problems.
- The daily life of people living in Japan and the Chitose Karasuyama area will become a little more comfortable and interesting.
- More foreigners will be interested in Japan by knowing about the lifestyle of Japanese people.
These are also the purposes for which the blog is posted.
Will I be able to continue posting with the content I envision? I'm not sure, but I'm at the starting line for now.
Since I'm posting from a housewife's point of view, I plan to post mainly about things that are close to our daily life, such as shopping stories and local activities.
About the nickname "Twinkle"
Background
Spent junior high school years in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
After graduating from university, worked for an IT company.
After working in clerical work, I worked as a System Engineer for 14 years, developing and maintaining middleware for financial systems.
After working as a temporary staff and contract employee, I moved to an asset management company. I worked as an assistant manager in the foreign bond management department for about 10 years.
In 2020, I moved to Singapore with my husband. I returned to Japan after 2 years due to covid-19 pandemic.
During my stay in Singapore, I started my first blog in Singapore.
After returning to Japan, I became a resident of Chitose Karasuyama Setagaya-ku Tokyo.
Hobbies
My hobbies are "flower arrangements" and "baking bread".
Flower Arrangement

A quarter of a century has already passed since I started learning flower arrangement.
When I was a temporary staff, I also had a part-time job as a wedding flower arranger at a wedding hall.
Since I got the qualification of Flower Arranging Diploma, I have been enjoying a variety of flowers, including fresh, artificial, and preserved flowers for more than 20 years.
Baking bread

Although I am less experienced in baking bread than in flower arrangement, I took a one-year bread-making course at Tsuji Confectionery College.
However, I am not a big fan of hand kneading, so I mainly use a kneading machine.
Among bread, I like English muffins, butter rolls, and bagels.
With these two hobbies, you would think I am an indoor person, but I also like to play tennis and ski, and occasionally play golf!
Origin of the nickname
When I was working for an IT company, I made a long business trip alone to London for a system migration job.
From the British staff, who were over 180 cm tall ( His Cockney accent was really difficult for me to understand.), I was small at 164 cm tall.
In the end, he gave me the honored nickname
"Twinkle" (= Little Star)
for solving some of his problems together.
Message
When I post an article, I am conscious of the fact that I want the reader to have some kind of "huh, I see" impression.
Even if you were not interested in something before, you will be aware of it when you feel "huh" about it. Have you ever experienced that related information entering your ears more often than before?
By changing one's "Chi" (= your "huh, I see.") even though there is no change in one's situation, things that were previously unheard of come into one's ears. I believe that having "Chi" will be the trigger that you will have a chance to lead an amazing life.
These are the words of a senior colleague of mine when I was working at an IT company.

How can you remember even the old test results in such detail !?
It's a matter of having a "Chi" or not.

This was the first time I became aware of chi.
